“Surround yourself with human beings, they are easier to fight for than principles.” -Casino Royale

Mission of the Day

Hold the line. In a world overloaded with news, noise and agendas. Your mission is simple: protect your sanity. Engage with people, not politics.

Intel Drop

Yesterday I went people watching with a few colleagues at a DJT protest in the Fitzrovia end of London. I found myself fired up as I stood next to a reporter spouting drivel. As I reflect, we weren’t there to protest…so I allowed this frustration to be transferred to me.

Politics and your personal algorithm on each platform thrive on outrage. I’m more outraged at the insult to our intelligence displayed by the news and digital media.

But it’s not in your journey to solve that.

Bluntly, it’s none of your business. Your business is your family, friends, work and immediate environment. The system wants your attention, your energy, your devotion to endless debate. It’s big business. Sanity comes from grounding yourself in what you can control.

Action

Today, take one deliberate step to unplug from political noise. Read a book, hit the gym, call an old friend. Redirect that energy into something nourishing.

The Closer

That random guy from high school with bad politics isn’t shaping public policy, so don’t let him shape your mood.

Mission sanity: secured.
